Material
Aluminium, Stainless Steel 304 (EN 1.4301)
We manufacture aluminium pipe and tube clamps, cable clamps, suspension and dead-end clamps, parallel groove clamps, hotline clamps, earthing and tape clamps, busbar and T-clamps, saddle clips and custom machined or cast clamps for electrical, construction, solar and industrial applications.
Cast clamps are produced in LM6, LM25 (A356) and similar high-integrity casting alloys, while machined and extruded clamps use 6061-T6, 6082-T6 or 6063-T6. Electrical clamps for aluminium conductors use high-conductivity alloys so the clamp and conductor expand at the same rate and remain tight through thermal cycling.
Using an aluminium clamp on an aluminium conductor avoids galvanic corrosion and matches thermal expansion, so contact pressure is maintained as the line heats and cools. Where a copper conductor must be joined, bi-metallic clamps or tin-plated clamps with suitable inhibitor are used.
Clamps are normally supplied with hot-dip galvanized steel or stainless steel (A2/A4) bolts, nuts and spring or Belleville washers. Belleville washers are recommended on electrical clamps to maintain bolt preload as the aluminium creeps and expands.
Each clamp is designed for a minimum and maximum conductor or pipe diameter (for example 16–95 mm² or 20–25 mm OD). Specifying the exact conductor type (AAC, AAAC, ACSR, copper) or pipe OD allows us to select the correct groove profile and bolt size for full contact.
Torque depends on bolt size, bolt material and clamp design. As a guide, M10 and M12 hot-dip galvanized bolts on electrical clamps are typically tightened to around 30–45 Nm and 50–70 Nm respectively, but the torque stated on the drawing or packing label should always be followed.
Yes. Aluminium forms an oxide layer that increases contact resistance. The conductor should be wire-brushed and an oxide-inhibiting joint compound applied before tightening. Many of our electrical clamps can be supplied pre-filled with compound.
Overhead line clamps are commonly designed and tested to IEC 61284 (fittings for overhead lines), BS 3288, ANSI C119.4 (connectors) and customer utility specifications, covering mechanical slip strength, heat-cycle performance and electrical resistance.
Depending on the application, clamps are tested for slip strength, tensile/failing load, electrical resistance, temperature rise and heat cycling. Routine inspection includes dimensions, casting integrity, thread gauging and galvanizing thickness of the hardware.
Yes. Aluminium forms a stable protective oxide and performs well outdoors. For coastal or industrial atmospheres we recommend stainless steel hardware, anodized or coated clamps where appropriate, and sealing compound on electrical joints to prevent moisture ingress.
Yes. We produce clamps to customer drawings, samples or utility specifications, including new casting patterns or dies, CNC-machined prototypes and customer-specific markings such as size range, part number and logo.
Yes. Aluminium has roughly one third the density of bronze or steel, which reduces weight on poles, towers and structures, makes installation easier for line crews and lowers freight cost for export shipments.
Clamps can be cast or stamped with the manufacturer's mark, conductor range, part number and batch or date code, as required by most utilities. Traceability is maintained from raw-material certificate to finished lot.
Our MOQ is 10 pieces for existing designs. Samples are typically available within 2–3 weeks and production orders within 4–6 weeks, depending on tooling, quantity and hardware finishing.
Please share the clamp type, conductor or pipe size range, drawing or sample, alloy preference, hardware material and finish, applicable standard or utility specification, test requirements and quantity.
