Durable and Precision-Engineered Aluminium Bolted Cable Terminals Connectors

Our Aluminium Bolted Cable Terminals Connectors are designed for secure and efficient cable terminations, offering excellent durability and corrosion resistance.

High-quality Aluminium Bolted Cable Terminals Connectors crafted for reliable and secure terminations in industrial, commercial, and utility electrical systems.

At Conex Aluminium Components, we manufacture premium Aluminium Bolted Cable Terminals Connectors for various electrical applications. These connectors are designed to ensure reliable cable terminations, providing excellent conductivity and mechanical strength. Made from corrosion-resistant aluminium, they deliver long-lasting performance and ease of installation. Available in various sizes and configurations, our connectors are suitable for a wide range of cable types and diameters. Conex also offers customization options tailored to specific project requirements, ensuring optimal efficiency and reliability in every system.

Bolted terminals are made in ranges such as 16–95 mm², 25–150 mm², 95–240 mm² and 185–400 mm², covering several conductor sizes with one connector. The exact range is marked on each terminal.

Shear-head bolts break off at a predetermined torque, ensuring the correct clamping force without a torque wrench and leaving a smooth profile for heat-shrink or cold-shrink insulation. They are standard on medium-voltage bolted lugs and connectors.

Mechanical (bolted) connectors are commonly tested to IEC 61238-1 for electrical and mechanical performance, including heat-cycle and short-circuit tests, and to customer or utility specifications.

Yes. Tin-plated aluminium bodies with suitable internal contact grease are commonly approved for both aluminium and copper conductors, sector-shaped and round, within the stated size range.

Bodies are made from high-strength aluminium alloy, often tin plated for corrosion resistance and contact stability. Bolts are made of tin-plated brass or aluminium alloy, depending on the design.

They are used on low-voltage cables and, with appropriate design and insulation systems, on medium-voltage cables up to around 36 kV. The voltage suitability depends on the connector design and the terminations or joint kit used.

Remove the insulation to the specified strip length, clean the conductor and, for aluminium, wire brush it to remove oxide. Insert fully into the connector and tighten bolts in sequence until the heads shear off.

Bolted terminals need no hydraulic tooling or dies, cover a wide range of conductor sizes with one part, reduce stock-keeping, and are quick to install in the field. Compression lugs are more compact and are often preferred on smaller sizes.

Many bolted connectors have an internal oil or moisture block to prevent water migration along the conductor. They are then covered by heat-shrink or cold-shrink joints or terminations for outdoor or underground use.

Palms are available with M10, M12, M16 and M20 bolt holes, and single or double hole configurations, to suit switchgear, transformer and ring main unit terminals.

Tests include electrical resistance, heat-cycling, short-circuit and tensile pull-out testing under IEC 61238-1, as well as dimensional inspection, plating checks and bolt shear torque verification.

Yes. We produce custom bodies, palm shapes, bolt arrangements and size ranges to customer drawings and specifications for utility and OEM programs.

MOQ is 10 pieces. Samples are generally available in 2–3 weeks and production in 4–6 weeks depending on size range, plating and testing.

Please share cable size range, conductor material and shape, voltage level, palm type and hole size, plating requirement, standard and quantity.
