High-Strength Aluminium Fasteners for Secure and Reliable Connections
Our aluminium fasteners are manufactured for strength and reliability. Ideal for securing various components, they offer excellent corrosion resistance and long-lasting performance.
Providing secure and reliable fastening solutions with high-quality aluminium fasteners for a wide range of applications.
At Conex Aluminium Components, we produce a wide variety of aluminium fasteners, including bolts, nuts, screws, and washers. These fasteners are designed to provide secure connections and withstand high-stress conditions. Our aluminium fasteners are lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and suitable for use in automotive, aerospace, and industrial applications. We offer standard and custom options to meet specific requirements, ensuring that our fasteners deliver reliable performance in even the most demanding environments.
We manufacture aluminium hex bolts, machine screws, set and grub screws, hex and square nuts, threaded studs, binding posts (Chicago screws), rivets, moulding inserts, washers and wall-mounting brackets, in standard DIN/ISO/ANSI sizes and to customer drawings.
The most common grades are 2024-T4 and 7075-T73/T6 for high-strength bolts and screws, 6061-T6 for general-purpose fasteners, 5056 and 5052 for rivets, and 2011-T3 for high-volume turned parts. The alloy is chosen for strength, corrosion resistance and anodizing response.
2024-T4 has a tensile strength of about 425 MPa and 7075-T6 about 570 MPa – comparable to grade 4.6 to 8.8 steel on a strength basis but at roughly one third of the weight. 6061-T6 fasteners (about 310 MPa) are suited to lighter loads.
ISO metric coarse and fine (6g/6H), UNC/UNF (2A/2B, 3A/3B), BSW, BSF and custom threads can be produced. Threads are rolled or cut and checked with go/no-go gauges.
Rolled threads are preferred for bolts and screws because they give higher fatigue strength and smoother flanks. Cut threads are used for small batches, large diameters or special profiles.
Use aluminium fasteners to join aluminium components (avoiding galvanic corrosion), to save weight in aerospace, automotive, marine and electronics, when non-magnetic parts are needed, or for colour-coded anodized assemblies.
Aluminium threads can gall, especially against stainless steel. Anti-seize compound, anodized coatings or dry-film lubricants reduce friction and prevent seizing during tightening and removal.
Clear, black and colour anodizing, hard anodizing, chromate or trivalent conversion coating and dry-film lubricant coatings are available, depending on appearance, wear and conductivity needs.
Aluminium fasteners require lower torque than steel of the same size. Torque should be calculated from the alloy's proof strength and the joint friction, and confirmed by trial assembly; we can provide recommended values for each part.
Yes, especially 5000- and 6000-series alloys with anodizing. Avoid direct contact with copper alloys or stainless steel in seawater without isolation.
Common standards include ISO 4017/4014 (hex bolts), ISO 4032 (hex nuts), DIN 912 (socket cap screws), DIN 913-916 (set screws), DIN 7985 (pan head screws) and ASME B18 series, plus customer drawings.
Fasteners from M2 to M24 and #2 to 1 in are typical, in lengths up to about 200 mm, and larger special fasteners can be machined to drawing.
Inspection includes thread gauging, dimensional checks, hardness and tensile testing on sample lots, and visual inspection of finish. Material certificates and inspection reports are available.
MOQ is 10 pieces for machined fasteners. Samples are available in 2–3 weeks and production in 4–6 weeks depending on size, finish and quantity.
Please send the fastener type, size and length, thread, alloy and temper, finish, standard or drawing and quantity.
