Durable Aluminium Brackets and Pipe Brackets for Secure Installations

Conex manufactures custom aluminium brackets and pipe brackets for building services, machinery, process equipment and general industrial installations. Designs are produced around pipe diameter, mounting interface, load direction, vibration, temperature and corrosion exposure.

Application-specific bracket solutions: formed saddles, support angles, clips, clamps and mounting assemblies can include slots, stiffening features, liners, inserts and pre-fitted hardware.

Custom aluminium brackets and pipe supports

We produce L-, U- and Z-brackets, saddle supports, two-piece clamps, stand-off brackets and special mounting parts. Manufacturing can combine laser cutting, punching, forming, machining, welding, riveting and assembly, depending on geometry and order volume.

Fit, loading and environmental considerations

Reliable support depends on pipe outside diameter and tolerance, static and dynamic loads, fastener arrangement, bracket spacing, thermal movement and vibration. Isolation liners or compatible fasteners may be needed to prevent wear, noise or galvanic interaction. Outdoor parts can be anodized, conversion-coated, powder coated or otherwise finished to specification.

Design information and inspection

Please provide pipe size, load cases, orientation, temperature range, mounting surface, fasteners and service environment. Inspection can include profile and hole position, bend angle, clamp fit, thread or insert checks, finish and any agreed critical dimensions. Load capacity must be validated for the complete installed assembly.

Aluminium pipe bracket size chart and product codes

Use this chart to identify common reference sizes for one-hole aluminium pipe clips and two-hole aluminium saddle brackets. NPS and DN are nominal designations; the actual pipe outside diameter controls bracket fit.

Product code guide: CAB = Conex Aluminium Bracket, 1H = one-hole clip, 2H = two-hole saddle and DN = nominal pipe size. For a non-standard metric tube OD, use CAB-1H-M### or CAB-2H-M###; for example, a 40 mm two-hole saddle is CAB-2H-M040.

Engineering note: These are quotation reference codes and common steel-pipe outside diameters. Bracket inside radius, clearance, hole diameter, leg length, strap width, thickness, alloy, temper, finish, liner and load rating are confirmed against the customer drawing. Tube OD and other pipe standards may differ.

Aluminium bracket and pipe bracket FAQs

The answers below address common questions about pipe sizes, loads, fabrication, fasteners, finishes and custom supply. Final recommendations are based on the drawing and installed operating conditions.

Aluminium reduces weight, resists corrosion in many environments and is readily cut, formed and machined. Alloy, temper and section thickness should be selected for strength, stiffness, bendability, fatigue, temperature and finish requirements.

A typical route may include sheet fabrication, forming, machining and hardware assembly. The exact sequence depends on geometry, volume, tolerance, cosmetic surfaces and whether dedicated tooling is justified.

Yes. Conex manufactures aluminium brackets and pipe brackets to customer drawings and application requirements. Dimensions, interfaces, material, finish, identification, inspection and packaging can be tailored after an engineering review, subject to process capability and order quantity.

Selection depends on required strength, formability, corrosion resistance, weldability, machinability and finish. Highly formed parts may need a different temper from stiff mounting plates, so Conex reviews the complete drawing before confirming material.

The drawing should define overall envelope, material thickness, bend radii, hole and slot locations, edge distances, mounting interfaces, load direction and any mating parts. Functional datums and critical-to-assembly dimensions should be clearly identified.

Tolerance capability depends on blanking method, material thickness, bend sequence, springback, tooling and part size. Precision holes or interfaces can be machined after forming when needed; a realistic datum scheme prevents unnecessary cumulative tolerance.

Where suitable, parts can incorporate welding, riveting, clinching, threaded inserts, tapping or bolted assembly. Joint design must consider heat distortion, access, corrosion compatibility, load transfer and the required inspection method.

Options can include mill finish, deburring, brushing, polishing, anodising, conversion coating, painting or powder coating. Drawings should identify coating thickness, colour, masking, electrical contact points and cosmetic acceptance zones.

Load capacity depends on material, thickness, geometry, support conditions, fasteners and direction or duration of loading. The customer should provide design loads, safety factors and applicable codes; prototype or validation testing can then be planned where required.

Inspection may cover material and thickness, formed dimensions, hole position, flatness, bend angle, threads, surface finish and assembly fit. First-article reports, gauges and sample-based inspection can be arranged when specified before production.

For an accurate quotation, provide a controlled drawing or 3D model, material or alloy requirement, critical dimensions and tolerances, finish, order quantity, annual demand, application and any inspection or documentation needs. Conex reviews manufacturability before confirming tooling, process route, lead time and commercial terms.

Pipe brackets and clamps are made for nominal pipe sizes from about 15 mm to 300 mm OD, in single-bolt or two-bolt designs, with or without rubber liners, and can be adapted for strut channel mounting.

Brackets can be supplied mill finish, anodized or powder coated. Stainless steel fasteners and isolating washers are recommended when brackets are mounted on steel or concrete in wet environments.

Yes. Brackets can be supplied with captive nuts, clinch studs, rivnuts or bolts pre-assembled to reduce installation time on site.
