Reliable NEMA Spade Connectors Aluminium for Electrical Systems

Conex’s NEMA Spade Connectors Aluminium are engineered for efficient and durable electrical connections, offering superior conductivity and corrosion resistance.

High-quality NEMA Spade Connectors Aluminium by Conex, ensuring reliable and secure electrical connections for power systems and transformer applications.

At Conex Aluminium Components, we manufacture **NEMA Spade Connectors Aluminium** to meet the requirements of modern power and transformer systems. Crafted from premium aluminium, these connectors provide excellent conductivity, corrosion resistance, and mechanical durability, ensuring reliable performance in demanding environments. Suitable for industrial, commercial, and utility applications, these spade connectors are designed to meet NEMA standards for safety and reliability. Conex offers a wide range of sizes and configurations, along with customization options, to meet specific project needs and deliver exceptional quality.

Standard patterns have 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 holes of 9/16 in diameter on 1-3/4 in centres for 1/2 in bolts. Custom hole counts, sizes and spacings are produced to drawing.

Spades are machined from 6061-T6 for mechanical strength or 6101-T6 when higher conductivity is needed, from plate or extruded bar.

NEMA hole patterns follow NEMA CC1 and the secondary terminal arrangements of IEEE C57.12.34 for distribution transformers.

Tin plating is recommended when copper lugs or conductors will be bolted to the spade and in humid or corrosive environments. It stabilises contact resistance and prevents galvanic corrosion.

Thickness is typically 1/4 in to 1/2 in (6–12 mm), selected for the transformer's secondary current rating and the mechanical load from connected cables.

Stud-mount spades have a threaded bore that screws onto the bushing stud and is locked with a jam nut, keeping the spade aligned and tight in service.

Common threads are 5/8-11 UNC, 1-14 UNS and 1-1/8-12 UNF, gauged to class 2B. Metric threads can be supplied for IEC transformers.

Current capacity depends on cross-section, contact area and ambient temperature. Spades are sized to run cooler than the transformer terminal they connect to at rated current.

Use 1/2 in stainless or hot-dip galvanized bolts with flat washers and Belleville washers, tightened to the specified torque, to maintain contact pressure through heat cycles.

Yes, provided the spade or lug is tin plated and an oxide-inhibiting compound is applied to the contact surfaces.

Hole positions and sizes, flatness, thickness, thread quality and plating thickness are checked, and heat-rise testing can be performed on request.

Yes. Custom lengths, offsets, angled spades and special hole patterns are produced to OEM drawings.

MOQ is 10 pieces. Samples are typically available within 2–3 weeks and production within 4–6 weeks.

Please provide hole pattern, thread size (for stud-mount types), thickness, alloy, plating and quantity.
