Conex’s Aluminium Grub Screws are engineered for secure and concealed fastening, providing durability, corrosion resistance, and precision for various industrial and commercial applications.
High-quality Aluminium Grub Screws by Conex, offering secure, durable, and lightweight fastening solutions for industrial and mechanical systems.
At Conex Aluminium Components, we manufacture **Aluminium Grub Screws** designed to provide reliable and concealed fastening for diverse applications. Made from high-grade aluminium, these screws offer excellent corrosion resistance, lightweight durability, and precision-engineered threads for secure and stable connections. Ideal for machinery, electronics, and automotive systems, our grub screws are available in standard sizes and can be customized to meet specific project requirements. Conex ensures that each screw delivers exceptional performance and long-lasting reliability, catering to the needs of modern industries.
Grub screws are headless threaded fasteners with a hex socket or slot drive. They lock pulleys, collars, knobs, gears and sensors onto shafts and sit flush or below the surface, so there is no protruding head.
Cup point (ISO 4029 / DIN 916) for general locking, flat point (ISO 4026 / DIN 913) for frequent adjustment, cone point (ISO 4027 / DIN 914) for permanent location in a drilled seat, and dog point (ISO 4028 / DIN 915) for locating in a groove or hole.
7075-T6 and 2024-T4 are used where holding strength matters, while 6061-T6 is used for light-duty and decorative applications.
Metric M3–M16 and UNC/UNF #4 to 5/8 in threads are standard, in lengths to suit the hub or collar wall thickness.
They are best for light to medium holding loads. For high-torque shafts, use steel or stainless set screws, keys or clamp collars, as aluminium threads and points deform at lower loads.
They do not mark soft or plated shafts, weigh about one third as much as steel, are non-magnetic and avoid galvanic corrosion in aluminium assemblies.
Natural, clear and colour anodized finishes are available. Colour anodizing helps identify sizes and matches decorative products.
Use the correct size hex key and tighten carefully to avoid rounding the socket or stripping the thread. A machined flat on the shaft improves holding power, and thread locker prevents loosening.
Yes. A nylon tip protects the shaft surface and allows repeated adjustment without damage.
Yes, when combined with medium-strength thread locker or pre-applied nylon patch threads that resist loosening.
Yes. Custom lengths, point geometries, drive types and threads are produced to drawing, from an MOQ of 10 pieces.
Threads are checked with go/no-go gauges, and length, point geometry and socket size are measured with calibrated instruments.
Yes. They are suitable for sensors, instruments, MRI-adjacent equipment and electronic assemblies sensitive to magnetic fields.
Samples are typically available within 2–3 weeks and production within 4–6 weeks.
